Finding inspiring design and communication in the electoral campaign

You can’t help but follow the presidential election, no matter how much you may not want to pay attention to politics. In addition to tracking the issues, we have our eyes on the creative communications and marketing examples that have become part of the national dialogue. One that you may not have seen is AIGA’s “Get Out the Vote” campaign, in which AIGA members were invited to create nonpartisan posters and videos that inspire the American public to participate in the electoral process and vote in the 2012 general election.

The goal of the campaign is to motivate eligible citizens to register and turn out on election day. Get Out the Vote also aims to demonstrate the value of design to the public, public officials and business by providing a clear call to action for an activity that is important to everyone.
