1095-Communications Made Easy

We’re excited to announce the hot-off-the-presses 1095-C Toolkit, which will save you time, money and headaches when communicating about the 1095-C within your organization. During the past couple of months, we’ve been knee-deep in all things 1095-C. We’ve been living and breathing the complexities of the 1095-C so that you don’t have to!

Here are our top five tips to help you effectively communicate the 1095-C.

  1. Clarity. Using plain language and simple terms are your best bet to avoid confusion—something we wish the IRS had taken into account with its 1095-C instructions! This form is foreign to employees and confusing enough on its own; let your voice stand out by being the one employees can most clearly understand.
  2. Consistent Messaging. From your C-suite leaders on down, make sure everything being said about the form and what employees need to do with it is 100% in lockstep. Consistency = calm.
  3. Communicate Across Diverse Media Types. You have a diverse workforce that prefers to engage with and digest information in many different ways—dealing with the 1095-C will be no different. Preferences vary between visual and audial, print and digital, and between wanting every detail or just the highlights. Use technology to help you reach your entire workforce in the ways that are appropriate and appealing to them.
  4. Address Concerns and Questions. Inevitably, employees will have questions about the 1095-C specific to their tax situation, family situation or some other scenario you haven’t conceived of. Create one place/person where they can go with those questions and concerns, and communicate it just as widely as the information itself.
  5. Promote Your Company’s Benefits. Take advantage of the opportunity to promote the value of your company’s benefitsMake sure employees get the message that you’re committed to the health benefits your company provides—and you’re proud of the value they bring to employees and their families! Of course you want to send that message as often as possible; the 1095-C offers a golden opportunity.

Strapped for time and need an easy way to check 1095-C communication off your to-do list? This toolkit is the answer! Order before December 31, 2015 and get $500 off your purchase!
