“I’m thrilled to be supporting a team that’s doing something so important—helping clients communicate benefits so that people understand how essential they are and how to use them to their full advantage.”
It’s fitting that someone who’s always happy and smiling is the first person you’ll encounter upon arriving at our office. We’re fortunate that Cory draws on extraordinary customer service and organizational skills to support his blended role as office manager and executive assistant to the leadership team.
Cory has cred where it counts to rock that role: in operations and project management. After earning a B.S. in Management and an M.S. in Psychology, he spent 15 years in higher education, working with faculty and students as assistant director of the Graduate Advising Center at Golden Gate University and, prior to that, at University of Phoenix. Earlier, he served as manager of cash logistics at Brink’s Inc.
We keep Cory pretty busy, but he still finds time for his two passions: food and travel. Did we mention he also has a degree in culinary sciences and has worked as a pastry chef? On any given Sunday, he’s likely to be scoping out new brunch spots (and sharing them with the team on Monday). And so far, he’s indulged his passion for learning about other cultures—and food—with trips to Mexico, Canada, Israel, Jordan, Greece, and Japan. Those destinations—and San Francisco—are a far cry from his home town of Strawberry, Arizona, where stoplights and street signs were the things he saw on television and fewer than 500 people shared its unpaved roads.
All this doesn’t leave Cory with much spare time. But these days he’s taking every opportunity to build his photography skills. So, if you’re out and about on a sunny weekend and someone says "Say cheese," be sure to return his smile.
