Isabelle Englund-Geiger co-leads Segal Benz, a practice area within The Segal Group dedicated to helping organizations engage their people and drive business results through effective benefits communication. Our communications work spans all areas of benefits and HR, drawing on best practices from consumer marketing, design, and behavioral science. Segal Benz has received top honors from Pensions & Investments, Business Insurance, the Profit Sharing Council of America, Employee Benefit News, and others.
As a passionate UX advocate, Isabelle is responsible for the overall user experience of every audience we touch—our clients and prospective clients, employees and multi-plan participants, colleagues, and HR/benefits thought leaders. She established all the systems that allow us to serve clients seamlessly, including our project management and file sharing processes, and our technology infrastructure.
Isabelle co-founded Benz Communications with Jennifer Benz in 2006. The company quickly established itself as a leading voice in the employee benefits industry. Benz Communications was one of the Top 100 Women-Owned Businesses in the Bay Area from 2012 to 2019, when The Segal Group acquired the company. For 5 years Benz Communications placed on the Inc. 5000, which lists the nation’s fastest-growing private companies, and was recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the Fastest-Growing Companies in the Bay Area.
Prior to Benz, Isabelle founded Fox Parlor, a boutique branding and graphic design firm serving both consumer-facing and business-to-business clients. She served as creative director for almost 10 years. Previously, she did her obligatory San Francisco stint as art director of a technology startup during the early dot-com days. Born in Sweden, Isabelle moved to California almost 30 years ago. For the past 10 years she has lived in the Sierra Nevada. When she’s not working, you can find her in her craft room or on the Sierra slopes, skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer.
