About Segal
As the largest and oldest privately held consulting firm in our space, Segal is focused on providing unbiased advice that helps propel organizations forward. And as an employee-focused and employee-owned firm, it focuses on creating a workplace that supports its team in the same way we do.
The firm was founded in 1939 as the Martin E. Segal Company. Throughout its history, Segal has helped organizations explain and promote health benefits, retirement plans, insurance programs, compensation, financial services, and other human resources programs. Many widely accepted benefit practices are innovations that were first conceived, designed, and introduced by Segal.
Today, the company provides employee benefits and human resources consulting on the full range of health, retirement, and human resources-related issues for multiemployer, corporate, nonprofit, and public-sector clients. Segal is unique in its field as a result of its deep expertise in 4 distinct markets: corporate, nonprofit, multiemployer, and public sector (local, state, and federal governments and other public-sector entities).
Segal has just over 1,000 employees in 25 cities in the U.S. and Canada.
